We regularly receive positive comments about our business processes and our work with aspiring authors.
(Note: these are pulled from all our subsidiaries and acquisitions).

Thank you very much for the update and I do understand why you use electronic messages. I just want to say I have been rejected
for years by Agents and Publishers. After awhile it all seems pointless. But I am in this for the long run and will never give up
and never give in. You have restored my faith and hope that someone out there is concerned and listening to what writers go
through. I look forward to learning all that I can from you and your associates.

Thank You!

Robert,

Hey there. Not sure if you caught wind of my responses that I sent to your colleagues but, I have no intentions of stopping our
progress. I am really grateful that you took the time to respond and you did so with conviction which I admire. After further
research, as far as I am concerened (and I said this in a previous email) those forums are nothing more than a series of authors
that can't get their work sold even with the help of an editor. I may prove still to be one of those unsuccessful writers myself
but I will NEVER put that on your company. Your advice is well placed and your vision is clear. Your emails are well written and
very informitive with no hidden agendas. Furthermore, the editor you have recommended has made my product ten times the written
work it was before I submitted it and their rates are more than fair.

I look forward to working with you and hopefully being your fifth sale of the year. I am excited and privilaged to be on your
roster.

All the best.

I must admit I was deathly afraid to read my critique when I received it. Allow me to say getting a critique done was the best
eighty dollars I've ever spent, and not because the critique was a favorable one. I appreciated the professional concerns you
pointed out, as these tips can only enhance my writing. Once again, thank you so much and I look forward to working with you again
in the future.

Dear Ms. Fine,

I just wanted to send a personal e-mail expressing both my thanks and my hope. I completely read the "generated" letter from you,
and appreciate the necessity as well as the wisdom of it. I also feel my chances of true authorship are more likely with your
(agency's) guidance than any one else I have contacted thus far, and this has revived my hope.
my sincere thanks,

Susan P.

Dear Sherry,

I understand how a critique protects each of us and will improve my writing (or validate that I'm as good as I think I am). Please
send your contract and a referral for a critique service. I will get the critique underway as soon as I hear from you. We have to
start trusting each other somewhere and I am committed to my writing as a business.

Thank you for the very prompt service - most impressive!

I have another MS for children, it's a book of bedtime stories aimed at five to ten year olds. Perhaps you would like to see it
after the current book has been critiqued?

Do you handle any manuscripts for adults? I have a spy/crime thriller waiting for a good (or bad!) critique.

By-the-by, I have, as I said in my introductory mail, had my books read and 'critiqued' by a very well regarded English author and
publisher (of religious books) but NOT an editor per se and hence my need of your referral service. He is, however, a good enough
friend to tell me when my writing sucks and I value his opinion highly.

I will, of course, abide by the critique and polish as much as necessary. Old age has not yet reduced my supply of elbow grease! I
look forward to a mutually profitable and pleasant business relationship with you and the Children's Literary Agency.

Very best regards,

Chris C.

-----------------------------------

Dear Writers Literary,

Thanks for the testimonials. True, if I were a cynic I would believe that you invented them. As I said before, the info online is
50/50 and a lot of it sounds like "moaning and pissing" . I would never make a decision based on that alone.

I've visited several message boards and communicated with other authors, some say an agent should never ask for money up front
because it doesn't encourage them to work for you. Another said that their agent always presents an itemized bill for the costs of
shipping, postage, and printed materials when the book sells. So whether the author pays this up front or at the end.... does it
really matter? Actually, paying for these services in the beginning reduces the chances of being over charged for services in the
end. Yet another author said that he participated in the financial part of marketing his book, (minimally) his story was sold and he
has been very successful and pleased.

If I've learned anything in my research these past few days, its that the writing community is a small, private pool filled with
great white sharks and the road to being published is filled with claymores.

I confess that I hit the panic button. Now I know that being published is a destination that can be arrived at by many different
means, an author simply has to choose a method of travel.

Sincerely,
Dorraine

Dear Ms. Sherman,

generosity through which you dispense them.

Hello Mark,

I just wanted to take the time to email you to thank you and your team and my editor Cheri for the amazing work you did on my
manuscript. Cheri really went out of her way to help me learn the editing process and see where my major mistakes were. I now own
the proper reference books to guide me and have a great idea as to how to start my next book on the right foot.

Thanks so much and you will definitely be hearing from me in the near future regarding my next novel!

Thanks again!

Hello Sherry, First, I apologize for taking so much time to respond to your letter. We were traveling again. Second, I am most
appreciative of the fact that you think my teleplay ' Grains of Truth' has commercial potential and is a viable product. ( I was
flattered also when screenwriter Chris Keane, and actress Gail Fisher also thought the same.) I would love for you to represent
me, but at this time, I would prefer to just sell the manuscript outright because more often than one would believe, studio execs
end up changing so many things anyway, and call for re-writes as well. Also, I am already working on a couple of other projects
and don't have the time to expend on 'Grains" right now. Once again, I thank you so much for your time and interest and regret
that we couldn't work together at this time. I think your service is most valuable and your agency has been great as far as
communication and explanation of the way you work. Perhaps one day in the future, we can do something together.

Regards, Patti K.

Hi, Sherry !

Thanks a lot for sending me the email (this one and the earlier one) !

The information you sent me is very valuable and I really appreciate your kindness in communicating with me so efficiently, much
more efficient than most of the other publishing companies I have dealt with in the last 5 years in fact (for other book projects).

I want to tell you I really appreciate the help I have got here.

Have a nice day !

Ms. Fine;

I thank you for the speedy response, I did not expect it. I realize that your corporation does understand the emotional
ramifications of submitting something you have worked on for months.

I researched many agents and companies before I made my decision to submit to your agency. Even if my work turns out to be, well,
drivel, I can not complain about the way I was treated.

Dear Vicki,

Thank you very much for your letter and for your expert quick service that truly impressed me enough.

I have gone through my critique sample and I have no words to express my humble gratitude to my wonderful critic Cynthia; she
simply infused fresh confidence in me. I would remain ever grateful for her beautiful positive analysis on my work.

Thank you again for your commitment to your assignment. Right now, being on the road as a struggling author I can’t afford your
assistance further more, but once successful I would certainly return back to you as I am very much ambitious and serious too on my
this phase of writing career, with a number of upcoming works in my hand. Once established, I can afford your help to bring my work
to the top quality possible and I have already decided that in my future your assistance is very much a requirement for me.

Finally, I again sincerely thank you and my Fairy critic Cynthia and looking forward to be associated with you soon more closely.

Hello, I would like to start with how much I am grateful for your help with my manuscript. You will be surprised at how much
better it has turned out. I couldn't have done this without your help. Although I have an education, I am not an English major.
I had to go to summer school school two years in a row just in order to receive my diploma. I nearly escaped by the skin
of my teeth in college. I have learned more from you than I had in any of my schools! I know that sounds hard to believe, but it
is true!

Thanks

I look forward to working with you in the future.

Dear Sherry:

I'd like to thank you for your prompt response. It turns out that a few days ago another agent made me an offer. She is an
established agent who handles books and screenplays (I have both), so I have decided to go with her.

I would like to say, however, that I would have been lucky to have your company representing me. I've been around a while and have
met many agents, and you are at the top of the list as far as being really courteous and professional and caring. The lengthy
response below is so meticulous and diplomatic. I have never seen anything like it. I know you will be very successful as an
agent. When they made you, as the saying goes, the broke the mold.

the manuscript over the weekend if that's OK

Again, Thank you

Hello Sherry,

I'd like to start by thanking you for your kindness and professionalism.

Since I expected numerous rejections, I took the liberty of querying several agents. To my surprise I sparked the interest of one
right here in my own backyard, which I've decided to go with. I think being able to work face to face with someone willl be better
for an amateur such as myself.

I must say your agency was one of the best I've encountered. Some have actually been pretty rude.

Thanks again for everything Sherry, and I certainly hope I can contact you in the future if anything changes.

Best wishes,

Hi Sherry,

Thanks for the prompt reply and I truly appreciate it as my mind drifted to the many times in the past when I was in New York.
Will ask for clarification of any questions when the need arises. Frankly, I don't know how other authors react when they want
their works published, but for me, I think you people up there in New York are doing a great customer service to potential authors
even other literary agencies envy. You've set a differentiation New York Literary Agency should be proud of.

As for my novel, I believe we can work together to produce a masterpiece that sells itself. Wish me luck.

My warmest regards for the success of your agency. And who knows, one day, you can open up a branch in Singapore with my help!

Thanks.

Dear Sherry,

I just wanted to thank you for the critique referral. I felt bad to send in work that wasn't yet up to my personal standards, as I
really hadn't expected this whole process to go so fast! I was amazed by how well the critique was able to pinpoint the changes I
needed to make, and how it made my job of self-editing a whole lot easier and faster. I may still go on to use the help of an
editor, but am much more pleased with my work now thanks to the critique. Keep up the great work!

Warmest regards,

I'm not certain how you manage to respond so quickly to my e-mail query when other agents are taking weeks at a time; and even then
they have nothing useful to offer.

Is it really possible that you actually care about writers and are willing the acknowledge that writers put a great deal of
themselves into each and every piece, and that for most of us, it's not so much about money as it is about being heard because we
know we have something to say that's worth saying? I too have been known to write very long, drawn out e-mails on occasions.

I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciated reading an e-mail filled with wit and sincerity, and I pray that this will be the
beginning of a long, and highly productive relationship that will also prove to be fruitful for all concerned. I am walking in
faith, believing that God has purposed this book to reach the masses so that He may be glorified.

I believe in this project with my whole heart, and it's nice to find that someone out there is willing to invest the time, energy,
and effort to help me develop this into a best seller, (I'm not claiming anything less).

The manuscript is complete, and being proof read at this very moment. The first five chapters will be emailed to you this coming
week.

Thanks in advance for maintaining a sense of humanity in a less than perfect world. may the Lord continue to bless you and keep
you.

Dear Robert;

I am flabbergasted at the speed in which you took care of the problem with the Pitch sheet. The new one seems right on target and
I have only one tiny suggestion regarding any changes.

In the sixth paragraph, they write, "For her part, the star T.V. writer, Alexis Constantine....." This seems a bit bulky and I
don't know of any TV writer who is considered to be a star. Could we just change it to, "TV writer, Alexis Constantine...."
instead?

Otherwise I am quite pleased with the Pitch Sheet. I appreciate both your concern and the help I got from Ellen. She is
wonderful.

Thanks so much,

Sandi G.

Sherry Fine - VP Acquisitions

Even as a writer, there are not enough words of thank you for the opportunity your company, The Screenplay Agency, has presented to
me. To be accepted, at an entry level, is like a ray of sunshine through a crack in the wooden fence.

Every question, pre-question as well as 'personal', were answered in a most professional and timely manner.

My decision at this time, even though you assured me this step was not necessary for the critique or pitch sheets, is to complete
the manuscript. I anticipate this to take about 6 to 8 months. At that time, because of your complete and thorough
professionalism with me in this endeavor, I will resubmit this work to your organization. I am confident this can and will be a
more than workable and profitable relationship between us.

My gratitude is deep and most sincere.

Thank you and all your incredible staff.

Dear Lynda,

Hi. I received my critique of my children's book manuscript a few weeks ago. Initially I thought it was a good
critique, but wasn't sure that I agreed wholeheartedly with some of the negative points made. It wasn't until I actually sat down
to rewrite the story in the manner you advised me, that I realized just how wrong I'd been and how right the critique was. My
sentence structure was indeed too complicated for the younger audience that I was targeting.

So thank-you ... it may not be perfect yet, but I'm sure it's now a whole lot better than it was, due to your advice.

Kind Regards,
Fiona K.

Dear Louise and staff,

Thank you all for the very informative, pitch and critique. I have chosen to a be a writer, because I believe it to be a beautiful
gift, one that I love with ultimate passion. My goal and dream is to become a full time writer. And, regarding my manuscript, I
have the never ending wish for it to become a movie. I have learned a lot through the critique, in which will help me to grow as a
writer- learning the strengths and weakness of the story. I think as a writer, I am fueled by just getting the story out of my head
and on to paper that I don't pay close enough attention, to what was mentioned in the critique:  dialogue, structure, details,
details, how the story is told first, third-person. etc...

As I continue, I am positive that I will get better. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you all have done. It was so in
depth and gave me wonderful insight. I look forward to working with you all again. You have done an awesome job!! And most
important thank you for helping me gain one more step in seeing my manuscript become a movie. May God continue to bless you all.

Blessings,

Jeanne S.

Dear Vicki,

That was fine of you beyond words to trouble to resend the critique on a Sunday in the midst of Memorial Day weekend. Wow, that is
just a beautiful and touching thing, and although the odds are that we will never meet, and I don't even know your last name, I
feel truly warmed by your individual act of kindness.

As for the critique itself, it is really very beautiful and engaging, and it brought tears to my eyes. Good tears. Just the
feeling that someone took the trouble to read something that I strove to create, with an eye to helping me succeed at sharing it
with the world, really meant a great deal. My mother died when I was ten years old, and somehow that makes me appreciate so much
more when someone really empathizes with me and tries to point me in the right direction - as both you and the editor did.
Please be kind enough to pass along my thanks.

I wish you all the best and hope that life is waiting for you with both hands full of beautiful surprises.

Warmly,

Jay D.

I hope to work with your company again!

Thank you Vicki for the timely review and the comments you made on the critique. You've heard this before I'm sure, but it was
refreshing for a non-bias professional to review our work. You were ahead of schedule in your return of the critique, and the
comments and recommendations were excellent. As you can imagine on those "typos", I was like....gee....how did I miss that??? But
you're correct, writers have a difficult time proofing their own work. Sometime my fingers out think my brain and my eyes see
nothing but clear copy! I will seek professional editing if and when the time comes. I'll await to hear from our literary agent
and see what the next step will be.

Thanks again.

As regards the Pitch Sheet, I think it is so outstanding that nobody can improve on it. Except for the minor factual error that I

I would like to once again thank your firm and your Editor for the excellent work.

importance of being critiqued. It's hard to believe that any writers question the need to rewrite, but I suppose they do.

Anyway, I am on the same page with you - 100%. I realize how competitive the publishing business is, and that having a great

Louise,

Regarding the critique on my manuscript: Wow!! Thank you so very much for your honesty and for your straightforward analysis.
After reading the MS so many times, I guess I never saw the grammatical errors that seem so blatant now. I will follow your
suggestions and try to analyze my writing with a close eye on grammar. I cannot thank you enough for your help. I wish you could
help me with the entire work but I know that if I do not try to improve on my own, I will never learn and I will always be
dependent. I don't know what the New York Literary Agency will do now and I am mortified at the prospects. I will keep my fingers
crossed and hope for the best.

Once again I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart!

The critiques were a terrific idea. It isn't only that it makes it easier for you and I, but what is learned by looking at
corrections and suggestions. The inspiration continues; I have another book in the works for your office.

Thank you for your time and as always feel free to contact me at your convenience.

All the best,

Craig F.
